The final round of the 2026 Software Engineering Competition of the Faculty of Information Technology – Nguyen Tat Thanh University, held on the 3rd floor of the Library Center, An Phu Dong Campus, took place in a solemn, vibrant, and academically rich atmosphere. The modern library space not only served as a repository of knowledge but also became a shining stage for students’ innovative technological ideas. The event attracted a large number of lecturers, students, and guests, contributing to an inspiring technology festival.
From the very first minutes, the hall was filled with positive energy, thanks to meticulous preparation in both organization and program content. The competing teams appeared confident and professional, clearly demonstrating a proactive learning spirit and a desire to conquer technology in the digital age.
Inspiration – the presence of faculty leadership and professional staff.
The final round was honored to welcome the participation of Dr. Nguyen Kim Quoc – Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, Dr. Cao Van Kien – Deputy Head of the Faculty, and MSc. Vuong Xuan Chi – Deputy Head of the Faculty, along with the Heads and Deputy Heads of Departments, lecturers of the Faculty of Information Technology, and a large number of students, which helped affirm the importance of the competition in the faculty’s training strategy.
Furthermore, the judging panel comprises lecturers with extensive professional and practical experience, ensuring that the evaluation of the projects is conducted objectively, fairly, and thoroughly. The participation of this team of experts not only helps select outstanding projects but also provides valuable feedback and guidance for students to develop their projects in the future.

In the opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Kim Quoc – Head of the Faculty of Information Technology – delivered a passionate speech, emphasizing the role of the competition in improving the quality of training and developing students’ capabilities. He shared that in the context of rapid digital transformation, information technology students need not only foundational knowledge but also creativity, problem-solving skills, and practical implementation skills.
The professor affirmed: “The Software Engineering Competition is not only a place to assess academic ability but also an environment for students to test their skills with practical problems, thereby developing technological thinking and a spirit of innovation. The Faculty of Information Technology always encourages students to research and develop products with high application value, contributing to serving the community and businesses.”
The Dean’s speech provided strong motivation for the competing teams and affirmed the Faculty of Information Technology at NTTU’s commitment to practical, application-oriented training.

To ensure the program was successful and professional, the Organizing Committee expressed its sincere gratitude to the Board of Directors of Nguyen Tat Thanh University for their continuous attention, guidance, and support in facilitating the academic activities of the faculty.

The judging panel played a crucial role not only in evaluating but also in guiding the development of the projects. Their in-depth feedback on system architecture, performance, security, and user experience helped the competing teams better understand the strengths and weaknesses of their products.
These comments not only help refine the topic but also contribute to enhancing students’ research and product development thinking, aiming for professional standards in the technology field.

The journey to select the 10 best teams.
This year’s competition saw the participation of many teams with diverse and creative ideas. After the preliminary and semi-final rounds, the 10 best teams officially advanced to the final round. The projects all demonstrated serious investment, closely aligned with practical needs and modern technological trends such as artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, automation, and digital transformation.
Each team not only presented a technological product but also told a story about their research, testing, and solution development journey. The competition was fierce but also highly academic and fostered a spirit of exchange and learning.
First Prize: APPTHUETHO’s Outstanding Achievement
The first prize in the competition went to the “Chắc Gì Thắng” team with their project “APPTHUETHO – A system connecting on-demand home appliance repair services”. This is a highly practical solution that meets the real needs of society in connecting users with repair services quickly and conveniently.

Second Prize: DMT_LEARN Digital Education Platform
Second prize was awarded to the DMT team for their project “DMT_LEARN – An online learning and teaching platform”. This is a product aimed at the field of digital education, with the goal of improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning through technology.

Two Third Prizes: A close and evenly matched competition.
This year, the organizing committee awarded two third prizes to two teams with outstanding performance and very close scores. Team 3T, with their project “LazyOps – An automated system for deploying and coordinating infrastructure using outbound agents,” made a strong impression with their solution for optimizing IT system operations, reducing costs, and improving deployment efficiency.
In addition, the MTEC team, with their project “CyberMonitor – A real-time network intrusion monitoring, detection, and prevention system using artificial intelligence,” presented a modern security solution capable of detecting unusual behavior in the network system and providing timely warnings.
Both projects demonstrated technical depth and high applicability, deserving of top positions in the competition.
Six Encouragement Awards: Nurturing Potential Ideas
Six Encouragement Awards were given to the teams: DC3MS, ULT, Nukeweb.site, PiggyShy, EaAgri, and Smart Menu, with diverse topics ranging from education management, smart English learning, AI-powered learning prediction, safety monitoring, smart agriculture, to restaurant supply chain management.
Each project has its own unique character, showcasing the creativity and efforts of students in applying technology to solve practical problems. These are the potential seeds that can further develop into complete products in the future.

The 2026 Software Engineering Competition Finals have concluded with many memorable moments, not only in the results but also in the learning journey and experiences of the students. The event has contributed to spreading the academic spirit, encouraging scientific research and innovation throughout the Faculty of Information Technology.
