The Faculty of Information Technology (IT) was established on May 26, 2011 under Decision 137/QDNTT-TC of the President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.

Vision

By 2025, the Faculty of Information Technology – Nguyen Tat Thanh University will be a prestigious place for training and providing advanced quality and qualified information technology human resources in the region to meet the requirements of management, production, services and applications of information technology domestically and internationally.

Mission

The Faculty trains high-quality human resources, with the capacity to start up and integrate, and with high competitiveness in the domestic and international labor market through training, innovation; applied research, technology development and multi-disciplinary and multi-field knowledge transfer, based on strategic alliances with businesses, research institutes and universities; with a dynamic and creative environment.
The Vision and Mission of the School and the Faculty are consistent in stating the goals of “providing high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of the domestic and foreign markets”, these human resources are capable of “applied research” and carry out the responsibility of “serving socio-economic development”. These goals are unanimously conveyed by all staff of the Faculty into the Educational Objectives and Expected Learning Outcomes of the program to help learners achieve

Quality Policy

Continuously improve the curriculum, teaching and learning methods, and training management to improve the quality of training activities in the direction of promoting the capacity, qualities, and positivity of learners, forming the ability to learn for life.
Update and apply the advances of science and technology of the 4.0 industrial revolution to the training and research process.
Continue to strengthen the scientific research activities of lecturers and students; become a unit providing scientific solutions to issues related to information technology.
Build the culture of the Faculty to create a good, friendly educational environment, always creating favorable conditions for students and trainees to maximize their capacity and strengths; a place to strive to practice moral qualities, cultivate professional skills.
Continuously improve the quality of the team through the selection and training of lecturers with high professional qualifications and appropriate teaching and research capacity.
Strengthen cooperation with employers to grasp the needs, coordinate in training and create jobs for learners. Maintain and expand links with domestic and foreign educational institutions to exchange expertise and provide learners with diverse training programs according to international standards.

Philosophy of Education

The Faculty’s educational philosophy: “Professionalism – Responsibility – Integration”:
Learners experience problem solving and reflection to build their own knowledge
– Professionalism: the purpose of training students with good expertise and skills, from learning, the surrounding environment and self-study must always be promoted, arousing the right motivation and attitude, with a spirit of perseverance and positivity to obtain high skills. Professionalism is demonstrated in thinking, perception, behavior and in social relationships, which is the destination of the training process at the Faculty
– Responsibility: training ethics for students trained at the Faculty of Information Technology is always a top priority, demonstrating the sense of responsibility of the Faculty towards the younger generation, as well as helping students themselves realize the value of responsibility towards themselves, towards the collective, towards the organization, towards society. Responsibility in always self-training, constantly learning, anytime, anywhere.
– Integration: learners must be trained according to international integration trends, evaluated according to regional and international standards. Educating learners to be able to receive and apply new knowledge and cultural quintessence in the world to promote the development of their own careers, of the Faculty, of the School, as well as national development and progress.
