Artificial Intelligence Competition 2026 – Faculty of Information Technology: Breakthrough Innovation – Shaping the Future

At exactly 1:00 PM on March 27, 2026, at the Library Center (3rd floor), An Phu Dong Campus, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the Faculty of Information Technology solemnly organized the 2026 Artificial Intelligence Competition in a formal yet vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere.
This is an annual academic event aimed at creating a valuable professional playground for students passionate about artificial intelligence—one of the key technological fields of the digital era.
The competition was honored by the presence of Dr. Nguyen Kim Quoc, Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, along with lecturers, the judging panel, and approximately 400 students who attended and cheered. The presence of the lecturers not only demonstrated their strong support for academic activities but also served as a great source of motivation for the competing teams in their journey to conquer innovative ideas.
In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Kim Quoc congratulated all participating teams and highly appreciated the professional quality of this year’s competition. He emphasized that organizing such academic playgrounds is extremely necessary in the context of rapid technological development. According to him, artificial intelligence is not only a research field but also an essential tool for solving real-world problems. Therefore, students need to continuously learn, update their knowledge, and boldly experiment with new ideas.
A dynamic and creative academic environment
From the very first moments of the opening ceremony, the competition area became lively with the thorough preparation of the teams. Each group brought well-invested AI products, models, and solutions, clearly demonstrating the serious research spirit and boundless creativity of IT students.
This year’s topics spanned multiple fields, including business, agriculture, tourism, education, healthcare, public administration, and technological infrastructure. This shows that AI is no longer a distant concept but has been gradually integrated into every aspect of life, becoming an important tool to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency.
Beyond theory, most projects were developed as experimental models or prototypes with high practical applicability. The teams demonstrated strong abilities in technology integration, systems thinking, and teamwork—key factors in modern technological fields.

Judging panel – fair and in-depth evaluation process
The judging panel consisted of experienced lecturers in artificial intelligence and data science. Projects were evaluated based on strict criteria such as creativity, feasibility, application effectiveness, level of completion, as well as presentation and defense skills.
During the presentations, teams not only introduced their ideas but also clearly explained system architectures, applied algorithms, data processing methods, and future development directions. Many in-depth questions were raised to test the contestants’ understanding and critical thinking, creating a truly rigorous and high-quality academic environment.
First Prize – the outstanding mark of Team DMT
Surpassing many strong competitors, Team DMT won First Prize with the project “EZBIZ-AI – Supporting small businesses and retail operations.” This AI solution aims to help small business owners manage their operations intelligently and efficiently.
The EZBIZ-AI system integrates functions such as customer demand prediction, inventory optimization, consumption trend analysis, and strategic business recommendations. With a user-friendly interface and flexible deployment capability, the solution is considered to have strong real-world application potential, especially in the context of rapid digital transformation in Vietnam.
The victory of Team DMT came not only from their innovative idea but also from the completeness of their product and their persuasive presentation before the judging panel.
Second Prize – smart agriculture solution by Ea Agri
The second prize was awarded to Team Ea Agri with the project “Ea Agri – An AIoT platform supporting decision-making in smart agriculture.” This project has high practical value, combining artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT) to support farmers in production.
The system can collect environmental data such as temperature, humidity, and light, then analyze and provide recommendations on irrigation, fertilization, and pest control. It also integrates weather forecasting and early warning features to improve productivity and minimize risks in agriculture.
The project was highly appreciated for its practicality and alignment with the development orientation of high-tech agriculture in Vietnam.
Third Prize – creative ideas across multiple domains
Two Third Prizes were awarded to innovative and highly applicable projects in different fields.
The first went to Team “15tr điểm sức mạnh” with the project “Travel Lung Tung – An intelligent assistant for travel consultation and support in Vietnam.” This AI application acts as a personal travel assistant, capable of suggesting itineraries, tourist attractions, restaurants, and services suitable for users’ preferences and budgets. It can also learn from user behavior to provide increasingly accurate recommendations.
The second Third Prize was awarded to Team CineFluent with the project “CineFluent – An intelligent English learning ecosystem through films.” This project leverages AI in education to help learners improve English skills through movie-based learning, combined with smart subtitles, context analysis, and pronunciation training tools.
Both projects demonstrated creative approaches and effective use of AI to enhance user experience.
Encouragement Awards – recognizing effort and potential
In addition to the main prizes, six Encouragement Awards were presented to teams with promising ideas and serious investment.
Team F5 introduced an AI solution supporting pharmaceutical information and medical risk warnings. Team WENDY developed the V-A Health system focusing on intelligent communication in healthcare, enhancing patient experience.
Team The Last Time presented an AI-based document management solution to automate classification and information extraction from administrative texts—addressing a practical need in government agencies. Team POV ALONE introduced PHOENIX AI, tackling the complex issue of optimizing cold start in serverless systems using AI.
Additionally, Team Claude Opus 4.5 mini developed “Tam Sang,” a system aimed at increasing transparency in charity activities through AI, while Team AAA created a multimodal AI assistant for traffic law lookup and automatic driver’s license point calculation.
These projects not only demonstrate strong development potential but also carry significant social value.
